Ballack set for Chelsea return

London, England (Sports Network) - Germany international Michael Ballack should be able to return to action for Chelsea in Tuesday's Champions League game against Bordeaux after being sidelined for the last three weeks with a foot injury.

The 31-year-old midfielder has only featured in two games so far this season - the last being the narrow 1-0 victory at Wigan.

"He will play but I do not know whether it will be for 45 minutes, 60 or 70," confirmed Blues boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Didier Drogba could be handed a start after coming on as a late substitute in Saturday's 3-1 win at Manchester City.

The 30-year-old Ivory Coast international had not played since the Champions League final defeat to Manchester United in May.

Meanwhile, Frank Lampard expects Chelsea to get better as the season goes on after finding the net in the success at Eastlands.
