Baltimore sweeps MISL Player of the Week honorsPhiladelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Baltimore Blast swept the Major Indoor Soccer League Player of the Week honors following the first match of the year. Baltimore defeated the defending champion Philadelphia KiXX on Friday, 8-2, in the only game in the first week of the season.
Rookie Michael Todd, who had two goals in his MISL debut, was named offensive
player of the week. Todd had Baltimore's first goal in the first quarter and
added his second in the fourth quarter. Michael Lookingland assisted on Todd's first goal and was named the defensive player of the week. Sagu saved eight of the nine shots he faced and was named goalie of the week. He allowed a goal in the sixth minute, but shut down the KiXX over the final 54:55.
