Bayern coach Klinsmann eyes domestic double

Munich, Germany (Sports Network) - New Bayern Munich coach Jurgen Klinsmann has set his sights on a domestic double in his first season at the Allianz Arena.

The former Germany striker and international manager has officially started work with the reigning Bundesliga champions and intends to carry on the success of previous incumbent Ottmar Hitzfeld.

Klinsmann is keen to retain the Bundesliga title and DFB-Pokal, while progressing to the latter stages of the Champions League.

"Expectations are always the highest at Bayern," he admitted. "We want to win both German titles - the Bundesliga and the German Cup - and we want to be in the Champions League all the way to the end.

"I think the players are looking forward to it. I think this is a young generation waiting to be inspired, stimulated and motivated.

"We'll see after a few months how it's going."
