Ben Arfa leaves Lyon to join Marseille

Lyon, France (Sports Network) - France international midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa completed his transfer from Lyon to Marseille on Tuesday.

Ben Arfa nearly transferred to Marseille more than a week ago, but the move was delayed while the teams agreed on a fee. The move was reportedly for nearly $32 million.

Ben Arfa joined Lyon in 2004 when just 17 and helped the team win four straight French Ligue 1 titles.

He made his first appearance for France last year and has played five times for his country, although he didn't make the Euro 2008 roster.
