Berbatov flattered by interest from AC MilanLondon, England (Sports Network) - Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov has admitted a summer switch to AC Milan would be ideal for him. The Bulgaria international has confirmed that the Rossoneri have made enquiries about bringing him to the San Siro and he is flattered by their interest.
Berbatov's future at White Hart Lane has been the subject of intense
speculation for almost 12 months and Manchester United were reportedly keen to
sign him. "All I can say is that there was an interest from the Italian club, that is all I can say," said the 27-year-old. "If it produces negotiations I will be flattered. "I know that Sir Alex (Ferguson) has wanted me for a quite a while, but at the moment I am a player of Tottenham." Berbatov has scored 45 times in 97 appearances since joining Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2006. (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
