Blackburn set to add goalkeeper BunnBlackburn, England (Sports Network) - Blackburn agreed to a deal Friday with Northampton Town to sign goalkeeper Mark Bunn. The 23-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest goalkeeping talents in the Football League and has made over 100 appearances for the Cobblers during two years in the first team at the League One club.
Bunn will provide competition for new Rovers number one Paul Robinson, subject
to passing a medical at Ewood Park on Sunday. Wales international Jason Brown is the current back-up keeper at the Lancashire club. "The keeper will undergo a medical on Sunday and, if all goes well he should be signed before the transfer window closes," read a brief club statement. Bunn came through the ranks at Tottenham Hotspur before joining Northampton in 2000. Meanwhile, new signing Vince Grella has been given the green light to make his debut against West Ham United on Saturday after Rovers received international clearance to field the Australian midfielder.
