City's Richards leaves hospital after concussionManchester, England (Sports Network) - Manchester City defender Micah Richards has been released from the hospital after receiving treatment for a concussion, having been knocked out during the 3-0 win over West Ham. Richards clashed heads with teammate Tal Ben Haim right at the beginning at the second half of the game at Eastlands and needed around 10 minutes of treatment before leaving the field on a stretcher and in a neck brace.
Citizens boss Mark Hughes praised the treatment which Richards received before
he was taken to hospital for further check-ups and a scan. He said: "Micah was a little bit groggy obviously, but the paramedics did their job. "There are always concerns when you see incidents like this. They stabilized him and got him off the pitch. "They did all the correct things and by all accounts he was lucid in the tunnel."
