England's Cole, Terry set to miss Belarus contestLondon, England (Sports Network) - England will be without both John Terry and Ashley Cole for Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Belarus in Minsk. Captain Terry sat out the clash with Kazakhstan due to a back problem and has not recovered in time to face Belarus, while Ashley Cole suffered a hamstring problem during the 5-1 weekend Wembley victory.
Left-back Cole had come in for some criticism after gifting Kazakhstan their
goal at the weekend, although head coach Fabio Capello had defended the
Chelsea man. He said: "The supporters have to understand these things are possible. When you play and work in sport, you can make mistakes. "If that happens, you have to support the team. It is not good to boo one player. When Ashley Cole had the ball they boo, I do not understand that." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
