Houston ties Deportivo Saprissa in Champions' Cup


Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Houston tied Deportivo Saprissa of Costa Rica, 0-0, on Wednesday in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions' Cup semifinal.

Houston, which dropped its MLS opener Saturday to New England, 3-0, returns to league play Sunday at home against FC Dallas.

The second leg of the Champions' Cup series is Wednesday in Costa Rica.

Pachuca defeated D.C. United, 2-0, in the first leg of their semifinal series Tuesday.

D.C. United hosts Toronto FC on Saturday in MLS before hosting the second leg of their series against Pachuca on Wednesday.
