Hull completes Mendy captureHull, England (Sports Network) - Former Bolton defender Bernard Mendy has completed his transfer from PSG to Hull City. The 26-year-old has penned a three-year deal with the Tigers and becomes boss Phil Brown's third capture of the summer following the arrivals of Craig Fagan and Geovanni.
Mendy, who reportedly turned down moves to Sampdoria and Werder Bremen in
order to move to the KC Stadium, will be reunited with Brown at City, the pair
having worked together at Bolton during the 2002-03 campaign. Mendy spent the last eight years with PSG, but made 23 appearances for Bolton during his loan spell at the Reebok Stadium. "The sporting project is ambitious and interesting" Mendy told French newspaper L'Equipe. "I'm happy to go back to England. "And above all I'll be meeting up again with Phil Brown, who was the assistant coach at Bolton when PSG loaned me out there. That counted a lot." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
