Injured Rangers duo to miss Scotland's qualifierGlasgow, Scotland (Sports Network) - Rangers duo Kenny Miller and Kevin Thomson have withdrawn from Scotland's squad for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Norway through injury. Striker Miller has suffered a recurrence of a hamstring problem he picked up in the weekend defeat to St Mirren, while Thomson has joined Derby County's Kris Commons in pulling out through injury.
"He (Miller) has a problem at the top of his hamstring and he has had that for
a few weeks now," Rangers coach Walter Smith told the club's official website. "It needed an injection and it means he has to rest for five or six days before he starts training again. Hopefully, that will settle the problem. "From our own point of view it's something that had to be done but, unfortunately, it means he misses the Scotland game." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
