Lehmann confirmed as Germany's starter

Klagenfurt, Austria (Sports Network) - Veteran goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has been confirmed as Germany's number one for the Euro finals despite his recent lack of first-team action.

The 38-year-old made just a handful of starts for Arsenal during the last campaign and has already secured a move back to the Bundesliga with Stuttgart.

Lehmann's starting spot with the national side has been questioned back in Germany, but goalkeeping coach Andreas Kopke has confirmed he will retain the number one jersey ahead of Robert Enke.

"Jens is one of the best goalkeepers in Europe when he is in top form and I'm sure we will get him there," said Kopke. "The team have got to present themselves well and show who is the best."
