Lyon in 'money time' for another trophyMarseille, France (Sports Network) - Lyon coach Allain Perrin didn't hesitate when asked if the team had already locked up another French Ligue 1 title. "No," the coach said. "We have to win the points that we are missing. Nothing is done just yet, even if we are well on our way."
"We're in 'money time.' Its that period that will lead us to a trophy." Lyon, which has won the last six Ligue 1 crowns, visits Marseille on Sunday in the biggest match in France this weekend. Lyon leads second-place Bordeaux by nine points with just seven games left in the season, meaning a collapse is necessary for the team to lose the crown. But Marseille won't make things easy this weekend. Marseille struggled in the early stages of the season but has turned things in the right direction and climbed into fourth, just three points behind Nancy. "Its one of the big fixtures of the season. The players want to take part in games like this," Perrin said. Perrin is happy with how his club has been playing. Lyon defeated Valenciennes 2-1 in its most recent game. "I think they are playing well together as we saw against Valenciennes," said Perrin, who coached Marseille from 2002-04. "Certain players have lifted their game and have become very important. That gives me much more options." Marseille is also coming off a 2-1 win at Lorient last weekend. On Saturday, Lens hosts Metz, Strasbourg hosts Monaco, Rennes hosts Bordeaux, Auxerre hosts Sochaux, St. Etienne hosts Le Mans. Caen hosts Valenciennes. Nice hosts Lille and Toulouse hosts Lorient. Also Sunday, Nancy hosts PSG.
