Milan's Gattuso faces one-month injury absenceMilan, Italy (Sports Network) - AC Milan's Italy international midfielder Gennaro Gattuso is set for a month on the sidelines after suffering a wrist injury while on international duty. The 30-year-old slipped and fell during training with the Azzurri and required surgery to fix extensive damage to his left wrist.
Italy team doctor and surgeon Enrico Castellacci confirmed: "Gattuso broke his
metacarpus and dislocated all the fingers in his hand. "We tried to fix the dislocated bones without an incision and we succeeded. The procedure went well and there are worse things that can happen to you. "Recuperation time? That will also be evaluated by the Milan doctors, but I think that he will be out for at least a month if we are lucky." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
