Nedved secures Juve future

Turin, Italy (Sports Network) - Veteran midfielder Pavel Nedved has pledged his future to Juventus by signing a new one-year contract with the Turin club.

The 35-year-old former Czech Republic international had been linked with a move away from Juve, but Nedved has decided to stay put for the challenge of Champions League football.

He explained: "I am staying for lots of reasons, but most of all because I want to play again in the fascinating competition that is the Champions League.

"All of us want to win that together, we just have to think about where we have come from and what we done.

"Qualifying for the Champions League was a reward for all the sacrifices we have made and we are proud of it."
