Newly-promoted Real Murcia moves atop La Liga

Valencia, Spain (Sports Network) - Newly-promoted Real Murcia continued its strong start in the La Liga on Saturday, playing to a 0-0 draw at Levante.

With just two games being played in the league Saturday, Murcia moved into first place on the strength of a season-opening win over Real Zaragoza and Saturday's tie.

Levante, which finished 15th in the league last season, is winless in two games. It dropped its opener to Mallorca, 3-0.

In Saturday's other game, Real Zaragoza tied Racing 1-1 to pick up its first point of the season. Racing picked up its second point following a surprising 0-0 tie against Barcelona in its opener.

On Sunday, Atletico Madrid hosts Mallorca, Barcelona hosts Athletic Bilbao, Villarreal hosts Real Madrid, Almeria hosts Valencia, Real Valladolid hosts Deportivo, Real Betis hosts Espanyol and Getafe hosts Recreativo.
