O'Hara gets new Spurs deal

London, England (Sports Network) - Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara has pledged his long-term future to the club by penning a new contract that will keep him at White Hart Lane until 2011.

The England Under-21 international was handed his chance to shine in the first team by head coach Juande Ramos in the second half of the season and became a regular member of the squad.

Ramos told Spurs' official website: "Jamie has earned his time on the pitch this season.

"He has come a long way in a short space of time so I congratulate him. This new contract is recognition of his efforts. If he continues in the same vein he will become a very important player for us."
