Perez makes switch from Ajax to PSVEindhoven, Holland (Sports Network) - Former Ajax striker Kenneth Perez made the switch to rivals PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee. Perez spent just one season with the Amsterdam club before moving on to play with the defending champions. He will now be playing with his third big Dutch club, as he was a member of AZ Alkmaar for six-and-a-half seasons before signing with Ajax.
The 32-year-old Perez tallied 51 goals in 164 Eredivisie contests while at AZ,
and he notched another 12 tallies last season for Ajax despite starting only
10 of his 27 appearances. Perez has won 19 caps for Denmark, and also took part in five UEFA Cup matches last season for Ajax. He played in both legs of the team's Champions League qualification defeat to FC Copenhagen last season, but will not have to worry about qualifying for the Champions League this season as PSV are automatic participants after winning the Eredivisie crown last season.
