Podolski moves closer to Bayern exit

Munich, Germany (Sports Network) - Bayern Munich striker Lukas Podolski has moved closer to the exit door after revealing his anger at once again starting a Bundesliga game on the bench.

The Germany international was expected to be drafted into the starting lineup for Saturday's 3-1 win over Arminia Bielefeld with first-choice striker Luca Toni injured.

But Podolski was left on the bench as coach Jurgen Klinsmann preferred to operate with Miroslav Klose as a lone frontman.

"I was not surprised to be on the bench yesterday, but I was annoyed. Jurgen Klinsmann told me he wanted to try a new tactical line-up," claimed Podolski.

"It is quite normal and justified for me to consider my future in the winter break. I'll have to consider everything in the coming weeks and months."
