Porto claim Colombian midfielder Guarin

Lisbon, Portugal (Sports Network) - Portuguese champions FC Porto have signed St. Etienne midfielder Freddy Guarin to a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old Guarin has earned 11 caps for Colombia, and started his career in his home country with Envigado before moving to St. Etienne on loan for the 2006-07 season.

"FC Porto are the biggest club in Portugal as they have a great team and are used to winning the Portuguese Liga every year," Guarin told the club's website. "I promise I will give my all to this club."
