Portsmouth signs Thomas to permanent dealPortsmouth, England (Sports Network) - Portsmouth has revealed it has signed on-loan winger Jerome Thomas on a permanent basis from Charlton Athletic. Thomas, 25, joined Pompey on loan last week and made his debut in Sunday's 4-0 defeat at Chelsea.
But Pompey have decided to make the move into a permanent transfer after
agreeing an undisclosed fee with the Championship side. Thomas has agreed a one-year contract at Fratton Park. "It's a simple conversion from a loan deal to a permanent contract for a year," revealed chief executive Peter Storrie. "It frees up a loan space for us. "Jerome could have been recalled by Charlton in January under the terms of his loan, but that's no longer a factor now his deal has been made permanent." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
