Rangers captain Ferguson to miss three monthsGlasgow, Scotland (Sports Network) - Rangers has been rocked by the news that captain Barry Ferguson will miss the first two months of the season with an ankle injury. Ferguson, 30, was troubled by ankle problems toward the end of the last campaign, but the new problem - which is likely to sideline him for the next three months - is believed to be unrelated.
The Scotland international will now miss the opening part of the new Scottish
Premier League campaign and also the Ibrox club's vital Champions League
qualifiers. Ferguson will not travel to the Netherlands to take part in a preseason camp and a series of friendlies next week as he looks to begin his rehabilitation program. (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
