Red Bulls re-sign Doe


Secaucus, NJ (Sports Network) - Red Bull New York announced on Wednesday that midfielder/forward Francis Doe has signed a new contract with Major League Soccer to play for the Red Bulls in 2008.

The 22-year-old Doe, who was originally signed by the Red Bulls in August of '07, scored two goals and one assist in eight games (four starts) last season. Prior to joining the Red Bulls, Doe was with Greek Super League side Atromitos FC for two years. During his time there, he played in 34 league games, finding the back of the net eight times. The 5-8, 150-pound Doe was also with USL First Division side, the Minnesota Thunder, in '04 and '05. Doe started his career at Ghanaian club, Buduburam FC.

On the international level, Doe has represented Liberia at the '06 World Cup qualifiers as well as in the '08 African Cup qualifying stages.
