Red Bulls sign goalkeeper Boss


Secaucus, NJ (Sports Network) - Red Bull New York signed goalkeeper Terry Boss, the Major League Soccer club announced on Monday.

"Terry has been training with us over the past few weeks and we were impressed with what he brings to the table," New York Sporting Director Jeff Agoos said. "We want take the remainder of the season to evaluate him as an option for next year."

Boss, 27, was most recently with the Charlotte Eagles of the United Soccer Leagues' Second Division between 2007-08. Appearing in 16 games for the Eagles, Boss was the USL-2 Goalkeeper of the Year, posting a 0.691 goals- against-average and notching nine shutouts. He was also capped three times by the Puerto Rican national team and is a former University of Tulsa product who made his international debut on March 26 in a World Cup Qualifier.
