Revs add Tyler in developmental deal

Foxborough, MA (Sports Network) - The New England Revolution announced that midfielder Brandon Tyler has signed a Major League Soccer contract to play for the Revs. Tyler will occupy one of the slots on the Revolution's 10-man developmental roster.

Tyler, 19, signed with the Revolution following an extended trial with the club. The product of Phoenix, Ariz., youth club Santos FC played in two preseason games with the Revs in New Orleans. He has also made two appearances in the 2008 MLS Reserve Division as a guest player. Tyler spent the '07 calendar year training with Centro Atletico Fenix of Uruguay's top division.

The Revolution will be back in action Saturday, when they face the New York Red Bulls at Giants Stadium.
