Roberts signs new three-year deal with RoversBolton, England (Sports Network) - Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts has signed a new three-year contract at Ewood Park, with an option in place for a further 12 months. The 30-year-old is now under contract with Rovers until at least the summer of 2011, having impressed new manager Paul Ince during his first few months in charge.
"I've been happy since I've been here for the majority of the time, so I'm
happy that it is now signed, sealed and delivered," Roberts said. "I hope to
show the best of my abilities on the pitch. It is for another three seasons so
I'm very happy with that. "I feel good, I feel strong, I feel like I've got a lot of experience and hopefully it will all come together now." Roberts joined Blackburn from Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2006 and has scored 12 goals in 65 appearances for the club to date. He started his professional career with Wolves, before enjoying spells with Bristol Rovers and West Bromwich Albion, as well as having loan spells at Torquay United, Bristol City and Portsmouth.
