Schalke captain Bordon supports KuranyiGelsenkirchen, Germany (Sports Network) - Schalke captain Marcelo Bordon believes Kevin Kuranyi should be given the chance to resurrect his international career. Germany boss Joachim Low said that he would never pick Kuranyi again after the striker walked out after being omitted from the squad to face Wales in a recent World Cup qualifier.
However, Kuranyi's Bundesliga form continues to be good and he scored one goal
and created another in the 3-0 victory against Karlsruhe. "Kevin works really hard every day," Bordon said after the win. "He has started from scratch again and if he keeps playing like this, then he will have to wonder whether or not he has deserved a second chance in the national team." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
