Senderos joins AC Milan on loan

Milan, Italy (Sports Network) - Arsenal have confirmed that Switzerland international Philippe Senderos has joined AC Milan on a season-long loan deal.

A brief statement on the Gunners' official website read: "Everyone at Arsenal would like to wish Philippe the very best for the coming season and his time with AC Milan."

The 23-year-old could seal a permanent move to the San Siro if he impresses this term.

Boss Arsene Wenger said of the arrangement earlier this week: "Senderos has gone to Milan and will complete a medical.

"At the moment, he does not get the games here and so now he can play somewhere and remains at a top-level club."

Senderos has made 115 appearances in all competitions during his five years with the Gunners, having moved to England from FC Servette in the summer of 2003.
