Sevilla secures Konko signature

Seville, Spain (Sports Network) - Sevilla have completed the signing of Genoa midfielder Abdoulay Konko on a five-year contract.

The 24-year-old Frenchman is the second new arrival at the Sanchez Pizjuan in the last week, with Spain left-back Fernando Navarro having joined from Real Mallorca.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Abdoulay Konko, one of the revelations of Italian football this season, is now a Sevilla player.

"A utility player, given that he can play both as a winger and on the inside right of midfield, he is aggressive in defense and explosive in attack.

"All these qualities have made him one of the most sought after players of the summer, meaning Sevilla have had to fight big clubs across Europe to secure his signature."
