St Mirren begins looking to next year

Paisley, Scotland (Sports Network) - St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson has allowed Alan Reid and Stewart Kean to leave the club, but has signed former Clyde striker Tom Brighton.

Utility man Reid and striker Kean have not been offered new contracts by the Buddies, while Brighton returns to Scotland after a disappointing stint with Millwall.

MacPherson told his club's official website: "Tom will give us options up front, he is quick and strong."

Meanwhile, manager MacPherson has dampened speculation linking midfielder Andy Dorman with several clubs in England.
