Tottenham routs Arsenal to reach Carling finalLondon, England (Sports Network) - Jermaine Jenas, Robbie Keane, Aaron Lennon and Steed Malbranque scored to lead Tottenham to its first win over Arsenal in nine years, 5-1 in the semifinals of the Carling Cup on Tuesday. Tottenham also got an own goal from Nicklas Bendtner to end its record 21-game winless streak against Arsenal. Tottenham won the two-game series on aggregate goals, 6-2.
Tottenham, which has won the Carling Cup three times, will play the winner of
Wednesday's game between Chelsea and Everton on Feb. 24 in the championship at
Wembley Stadium. Chelsea won the first meeting with Everton, 2-1. Arsenal, which is second in the Premiership but even in points with Manchester United, got its lone goal Tuesday from Emmanuel Adebayor.
