Tottenham set to sign Garcia from Espanyol

London, England (Sports Network) - Tottenham Hotspur are set to sign Luis Garcia from Espanyol, according to reports in Spain.

Garcia, 27, was the top-scorer for the Barcelona-based club in La Liga last season and has reportedly agreed terms on a move to White Hart Lane.

The Spain international is a long-term target of Spurs' Spanish coach Juande Ramos and could cost the north London club around $10 million.

Ramos has also been linked with fellow Espanyol teammates Carlos Kameni, Daniel Jarque and Albert Riera this summer.

Meanwhile, former Arsenal and now Barcelona striker Thierry Henry has tipped new signing Giovani Dos Santos to make a big impact in the Premier League.

The Mexico teenager arrived at White Hart Lane from Barcelona last month in a deal worth nearly $10 million.

"Giovani has everything to be a success at Tottenham," claimed Henry. "He has speed and can change the course of a game with his genius.

"He can in two, three or four years be one of the best players in the world if he wants."
