Valencia sends Navarro back to Mallorca

Mallorca, Spain (Sports Network) - Mallorca has re-signed Valencia defender David Navarro on loan for a second season.

The 28-year-old spent the entire last campaign on loan at ONO Estadi where he made 18 La Liga appearances.

Navarro returned to Valencia for the beginning of preseason training, but has been allowed to head out on loan again after being informed by new coach Unai Emery that he is not part of his plans.

The versatile defender could join Mallorca on a permanent basis next summer should he impress in his second season with the Balearic side.
