Bartoli, Radwanska land in Eastbourne semisEastbourne, England (Sports Network) - Wimbledon runner-up Marion Bartoli and rising star Agnieszka Radwanska were among Thursday's quarterfinal winners at the $600,000 International Women's Open, a final Wimbledon tuneup. The second-seeded Bartoli blew past Russian qualifier Alisa Kleybanova 6-3, 6-3, while the fourth-seeded Radwanska held off Argentine Gisela Dulko 7-5, 7-5 on the grass courts at Devonshire Park International Tennis Centre. Radwanska saw double duty on Day 4 here, as she completed her second-round match by beating France's Virginie Razzano 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. Radwanska and Razzano split a pair of sets here on Wednesday before the match was suspended because of darkness.
The French Bartoli and Polish Radwanska will square off here in Friday's
semifinals. The other semi will pit eighth-seeded Russian Nadia Petrova against Aussie Samantha Stosur. Petrova topped qualifier and fellow Russian Ekaterina Makarova 6-4, 6-3, while Stosur stopped Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki 7-6 (7-3), 6-4. This week's titlist will collect $95,500.
