Davenport rolls to win in Auckland

Auckland, New Zealand (Sports Network) - Former world No. 1 Lindsay Davenport cruised past Aravane Rezai 6-2, 6-2, to win the $145,000 ASB Classic on Saturday.

The American Davenport is now 18-1 in singles since returning to action last season following the birth of her first child, and took home $22,900 for winning the tournament. Davenport had much more trouble in Friday's semifinal, in which Austrian Tamira Paszek put up a fight before falling in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.

Rezai, an unseeded Frenchwoman, earned a consolation prize of $12,345 for making it to the final.
