Ferrer, Andreev, Ancic win openers at Ordina Open's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands (Sports Network) - Top-seeded David Ferrer, fifth-seeded Igor Andreev and sixth-seeded Mario Ancic posted opening-round wins Sunday at the $501,545 Ordina Open, a final grass-court Wimbledon tuneup. Spaniard Ferrer drubbed crowd favorite Jesse Huta Galung 6-2, 6-3, Russian Andreev routed Grigor Dimitrov 6-1, 6-3 and two-time former champion Ancic ousted Ivo Minar 6-1, 7-6 (7-0).
Belgium Steve Darcis, German Rainer Schuettler and Austrian Jurgen Melzer were
also winners here on Day 1. Richard Gasquet is the second seed this week and will face Belgium Olivier Rochus in his first-round match. Finland's Jarkko Nieminen was supposed to be the third-seed here but he pulled out of the tournament due to a right heel injury. Matwe Middelkoop of the Netherlands will replace Nieminen in the draw.
