Creamer one up in Oklahoma; Ochoa six back

Broken Arrow, OK (Sports Network) - Paula Creamer, one of four winners this season, managed an even-par 71 in windy conditions Friday. That was good enough to give her a one-shot lead after two rounds of the SemGroup Championship.

Creamer completed 36 holes at one-under-par 141.

Women's world No. 1 Lorena Ochoa, who has won four straight starts, stumbled to a three-over 75. She is tied for 21st place at five-over-par 147.

Ji Young Oh posted a one-over 72 and is alone in second place at even-par 142. Brittany Lang (71) and Leta Lindley (72) are tied for third at plus-one.

First-round leader Hee Young Park faltered to a four-over 75 that dropped her into a share of fifth at two-over-par 144.

Creamer got her round going with an eight-foot birdie putt on the third. However, she knocked her second over the green at the fourth and walked off with a bogey.

The 21-year-old parred six in a row around the turn. She found a fairway bunker off the tee at the 11th, but recovered nicely as her approach stopped 15 feet from the hole.

Creamer drained that birdie try and then poured in a 35-footer for birdie on the 14th to get to three-under.

At the par-four 16th, Creamer's second stopped at the front of the green. She missed a five-foot par-saver. Creamer found a greenside bunker at the last and that led to another bogey which left her at minus-one.

"I'm pleased with how I played today," admitted Creamer, who won at the Fields Open in Hawaii earlier this year. "I didn't feel like I hit the ball as solid as I did yesterday. I hit some loose drives out there.

"But, overall I made some good shots once again. I made some really good bunker shots out there."

Ochoa played a rare birdie-less round. After opening with two pars, she bogeyed three and four. The Mexican reeled off 13 straight pars before tripping to another bogey at the last.

"I think (the west wind) was better for the back nine, a little bit easier with this wind direction," said Ochoa. "I'm sorry I didn't take advantage of the par-fives, especially 14 and the few holes that were downwind."

Oh drained a 15-footer for birdie on the third to get her round going. She missed the green short at the next and that led to a bogey.

After four pars, Oh rolled in a nine-footer for birdie on No. 9. That got her to two-under, but she three-putted for bogey on 12 and 15 to fall back to even-par.

"I bogeyed the same holes that I bogeyed (Thursday), so I was a little bit shaken up," admitted Oh through a translator.

Park was joined in fifth place at plus-two by Meena Lee, Ai Miyazato, Angela Stanford and Jee Young Lee. Juli Inkster, Jeong Jang and Carin Koch are among nine players at three-over-par 145.

The cut line fell at 10-over-par 152 with 70 players making the cut. Among those missing the weekend were Erica Blasberg, Angela Park, Natalie Gulbis and Morgan Pressel.
