No. 1 Ivanovic pulls out of EastbourneLondon, England (Sports Network) - New world No. 1 and French Open champion Ana Ivanovic decided to pull out of next week's Wimbledon tuneup event in Eastbourne, citing a right abductor muscle injury. Ivanovic became the new No. 1 when she beat fellow Serbian Jelena Jankovic in last week's French Open semifinals. She then went on to defeat Russian Dinara Safina in the finale at Roland Garros. The 20-year-old is the first-ever Serb, male of female, to reach the top of the tennis rankings and became the first Serbian woman to corral a major title. Wimbledon 2008 commences June 23 at the All England Club.
