Radwanska outlasts Petrova in Eastbourne final

Eastbourne, England (Sports Network) - Rising star Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland ousted eighth-seeded Russian Nadia Petrova in three sets to capture the $600,000 International Women's Open, a final Wimbledon tuneup.

The fourth-seeded Radwanska took down the 26-year-old Petrova 6-4, 6-7 (11-13), 6-4 in a tightly-contested battle that lasted a little over two hours and 30 minutes.

The 19-year-old Radwanska improves to 4-0 in her career finals, including wins in Pattaya City and Istanbul already this year. The Polish Radwanska now holds three titles this year, which ties Maria Sharapova and Serena Willams for the most titles this season on the WTA Tour.

This was Petrova's first finals appearance of the year. She dropped to 7-9 in her title matches.

Radwanska collected $95,500 with the victory.
